    Firefighters responded at 1:04 p.m. to a report of a carbon dioxide alarm at a residence on the 200 block of East Church Street. The house’s owner was gone when police arrived.

    The week of Oct. 2-8, Belle Plaine police responded to the following selected calls:

    Monday, Oct. 2
    A woman on the 600 block of West Main Street reported at 11:19 a.m. a hit-and-run crash. The woman thinks her vehicle may have been hit while parked at work. Police are investigating.
    A person on the 100 block of North Meridian Street reported at 1:11 p.m. property damage. The person’s car was “keyed” overnight. Police are investigating.
    A 32-year-old woman from South St. Paul who was stopped near the intersection of East Main and South Elm streets at 1:39 p.m. was cited for texting while driving.
    At 1:58 p.m., police stopped a vehicle near the intersection of East Main and South Elm streets. The driver, a 47-year-old Madelia, Minn. woman,  was cited for driving while texting.
    A man on the 900 block of Ivy Hills Road was arrested for third-degree DWI at 4:53 p.m. after police determined he had driven home under the influence of alcohol.
    A property-damage crash near the intersection of East Main Street and Hickory Boulevard was reported at 7:32 p.m. The driver of a vehicle lost control because of the rain. The vehicle slid off the roadway and struck an unoccupied van, pushing it over the curb and into the median.
    Tuesday, Oct. 3
    Police stopped a vehicle at 11:34 a.m. near the intersection of North Walnut and East Main streets. A Belle Plaine man, 33, was cited for texting while driving.
    A Belle Plaine man, 30, stopped at 2:32 p.m. on the 300 block of South Meridian Street for not stopping at a stop sign,  was cited for open bottle and jailed for third-degree DWI.
    A person on the 300 block of East Prairie Street called for medical help at 3:45 p.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    A person on the 300 block of East Prairie Street called for medical help at 8:12 p.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    A vehicle was stopped at 9:10 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 169 and Old Highway 169 Boulevard for driving with one headlight out. A St. Paul woman, 40, was cited for driving with a suspended license.
    A vehicle with only one working headlight was stopped near the intersection of East Commerce Drive and South Walnut Street at 11:44 p.m. The driver, a Colorado woman, 18, was cited for driving without a valid license.
    Wednesday, Oct. 4
    A vehicle was stopped at 1:49 p.m. near the intersection of North Walnut and East Main streets. A Bloomington man, 27, was cited for texting and driving.
    A person on the 600 block of Butler Drive called for medical help at 5:19 p.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    An inebriated Belle Plaine woman on the 400 block of South Meridian Street was arrested at 7:38 p.m. for yelling racial slurs at two children playing outside her building. The woman, 61, said similar comments to the children’s mother when confronted. She was cited for disorderly conduct and charged with fourth-degree assault motivated by bias.
    Thursday, Oct. 5
    A person on the 800 block of West Church Street reported at 7:30 a.m. a domestic dispute between a man and woman. Investigation was not clear of who was at fault. The case was sent to the county attorney for a review of possible charges.
    Several people who had their unlocked vehicles gone through overnight approached an officer on the 500 block of North Elm Street at 7:53 a.m. Items were stolen from some of the vehicles.
    A person on the 200 block of North Elm Street called for medical help at 10:02 a.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    A person on the 500 block of East Beaver stopped at the police station at 10:12 a.m. with information regarding overnight tampering with vehicles and theft of items from unlocked vehicles. After a search was conducted, a woman, 18, and boy, 17, were arrested. Most of the stolen items were recovered.
    A person on the 100 block of South Linden Street called for medical help at 3:21 p.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A person on the 200 block of West State Street called for medical help at 11:55 pm. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    Friday, Oct. 6
    Citations were issued at 3 a.m. for three vehicles left parked near the intersection of Main and Meridian streets during downtown street cleaning. They were towed.
    A person on the 200 block of West State Street called for medical help at 10:30 p.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A person on the 1100 block of West Commerce Drive reported at 10:54 p.m. an assault during a road rage incident. A Belle Plaine man, 49, was cited for disorderly conduct/fighting.
    Saturday, Oct. 7
    A person on the 800 block of South Walnut Street called for medical help at 7:48 a.m. After assessing the patient, the family decided to transport the person to an area hospital.
    A person on the 300 block of East Enterprise Drive called for medical help at 11:36 a.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    Sunday, Oct. 8
    Police responded at 1:06 a.m. to a brawl at an establishment on the 100 block of North Meridian Street. A Belle Plaine man, 34, was arrested for domestic assault and terroristic threats. A Belle Plaine woman, 32, was arrested for obstructing the legal process and disorderly conduct. A woman, 35, was arrested for obstructing the legal process, fourth-degree assault on a peace officer, and domestic assault.
    After receiving a complaint at 5:11 p.m., police found four people using dirt bikes and four-wheelers on a city street and private property on the 900 block of Ivy Hills Road. They were issued no-trespassing warnings.
    A vehicle was stopped near the intersection of Highway 169 and East Main Street at 11:22 p.m. The driver was cited for lane violations and driving with a suspended license.

    Firefighters were dispatched at 7:20 p.m. to a report of a car fire near the intersection of Highway 169 and East Main Street. They were canceled en route.

    The week of Sept. 25-Oct. 1, Belle Plaine police responded to the following selected calls:

    Monday, Sept. 25
    At 11:33 p.m., a person on the 200 block of East Main Street called for medical help. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    Tuesday, Sept. 26
    At 5:30 a.m., a person on the 200 block of East Main Street called for medical help. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    At 2:48 p.m., police witnessed a man, 55, pull his vehicle over to the side of the street near the intersection of East Prairie and South Elm streets and hit the curb. The officer recognized the man and knew he had two felony arrest warrants outstanding. The man saw the officer and fled on foot. The man was eventually arrested on the outstanding warrants. The man was also cited for driving after license cancellation and fleeing a police officer.
    After receiving a report at 4:04 p.m. of a man driving under the influence, a Belle Plaine man, 29, was arrested on the 500 block of Lindsey Lane for second-degree driving while intoxicated with a child in the car. He was also cited for driving with an open bottle.
    A man on the 500 block of West Prairie Street reported at 7:26 p.m. the theft of a global positioning system unit from a vehicle the previous night. The GPS unit is valued at $200.
    Responding to a verbal domestic on the 1100 block of Farmers Lane reported at 9:20 p.m., police separated the couple for the night. The man was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
    Wednesday, Sept. 27
    A Belle Plaine boy, 16, was seen peeling out from a stop sign at the intersection of West Prairie and South Willow streets at 3:20 p.m. He was cited for failing to drive with due care.
    A person on the 1000 block of Old Highway 169 Boulevard reported at 4:47 p.m. the theft of $3,000 electronic device from a John Deere combine within the past month.
    A hit-and-run crash was reported near the intersection of Hickory Boulevard and East Main Streets at 5:37 p.m. A man was reportedly driving all over the road. He hit the median, over-corrected, hit another vehicle and fled the scene. The man was eventually located and arrested for third- and fourth-degree DWI, reckless driving, failing to stop for a collision,  and lane violations.
    Thursday, Sept. 28
    A person on the 800 block of East Main Street reported at 1:10 p.m. a possible case of fraud. A forged check was used at a local business over a month ago. Police are investigating.
    A person on the 300 block of South Market Street reported at 3:24 p.m. a possible violation of a restraining order. Police are investigating.
    Friday, Sept. 29
    A citation was issued at 3:04 a.m. for a vehicle left parked near the intersection of South Meridian and Main streets during downtown street cleaning. The vehicle was towed.
    A person on the 200 block of West State Street called for medical help at 7:33 a.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    A property-damage crash near the intersection of East Enterprise Drive and South Meridian Street was reported at 11:28 a.m. One vehicle was trying to cross over Meridian Street and did not see an oncoming car pull out. A man, 24, was cited for failure to yield.
    A person on the 500 block of East Church Street called for medical help at 2:24 p.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A person on the 200 block of South Elk Street reported at 2:52 p.m. a domestic abuse. After investigation, a man, 81, was arrested.
    A person at a business on the 300 block of East Enterprise Drive reported at 3:55 p.m. the theft of $500. Police are investigating.
    Saturday, Sept. 30
    An officer observed the driver of a vehicle commit several lane violations. The driver, a 28-year-old Belle Plaine man, was pulled over near the intersection of East Enterprise Drive and South Meridian Street at 2:09 a.m. The driver was cited and jailed for third-degree DWI, open bottle and lane violations.
    Sunday, Oct. 1
    A person at a business on the 1000 block of East Enterprise Drive reported at 7:55 p.m. a white powdery substance located on the floor of a gas station. Video surveillance showed it fell out of a man’s pocket while in line to pay for purchases. The substance tested positive for cocaine. The man, a 26-year-old Belle Plaine resident, was located and arrested for fifth-degree drug possession.

    Friday, Sept. 22
    Firefighters were dispatched around 4:10 p.m. to a motorcycle injury near the intersection of Carver County roads 40 and 52. A rider lost control. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
    Saturday, Sept. 23
    Firefighters responded at 1:20 a.m. to a report of a gas odor on the 200 block of South Eagle Street.

    The week of Sept. 18-24, Belle Plaine police responded to the following selected calls:

    Monday, Sept 18
    Police arrested a Le Sueur man for second-degree DWI near the intersection of Highway 169 and 280th Street. They received a report of poor driving and lane violations. He was stopped at 9:33 p.m. Police found marijuana and other drugs in the vehicle. They also found he violated his vehicle’s interlock provision.
    Tuesday, Sept. 19
    An employee at a business on the 500 block of East Commerce Drive reported at 10:15 a.m. someone unsuccessfully tried to break in to the back door of the business.
    At 2:41 p.m., two women were served no-trespassing warnings for a property on the 300 block of South Walnut Street.
    Wednesday, Sept. 20
    A person on the 1300 block of Quail Court called for medical help at 11:08 a.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    Thursday, Sept. 21
    The theft of items from a storage unit on the 700 block of West Forest Street was reported at 4:17 p.m. Another storage unit had evidence of a failed attempted break-in. The loss was estimated at $750. Police are investigating.
    Police received a report at 6:50 p.m. of a boy writing on park surfaces on the 500 block of East Orchard Street. The boy was located and identified. He admitted to vandalizing several areas of the park and was cited for damage to property.
    Friday, Sept. 22
    A search warrant was executed at 8:11 a.m. at a house on the 500 block of East Beaver Street. Drug paraphernalia, with residue on it, was located. A man and woman at the house were cited for possession of narcotics. More charges are possible following completion of an investigation.
    A Little Falls, Minn. man, 24, was stopped near the intersection of North Walnut and East Main streets at 11:41 a.m. He was cited for speeding, not wearing a seatbelt and driving with a suspended license.
    A property-damage crash on the 200 block of East Orchard Street was reported at 4:14 p.m. A delivery truck driver hit a garbage can.
    Saturday, Sept. 23
    Four children who police stopped at the boat launch across the river at 3:04 a.m. were cited for curfew violations. Their parents were notified.
    A person on the 100 block of North Meridian Street reported at 7:26 a.m. a disturbance by an inebriated woman. She was offered the option of leaving the business or facing a disorderly conduct citation. The woman selected the latter option.
    Sunday, Sept. 24
    A person on the 1000 block of East Enterprise reported at 7:40 p.m. damage to property. A pizza shop employee discovered someone had thrown pizza and garlic sauce all over his car. Police are investigating.

    Firefighters responded at 7 p.m. to a report of a gas leak on the 200 block of South Ceder Street. No leak was  found.
    Sunday, Sept. 17
    Firefighters were dispatched at 4:10 p.m. to the 20000 block of Park Boulevard in St. Lawrence Township. A woman, 50, fell and broke her arm hiking on the state trail.

    The week of Sept. 11-17, Belle Plaine police responded to the following selected calls:

    Monday, Sept. 11
    A person on the 200 block of South Market Avenue reported at 10:18 a.m. the possible sale of marijuana. One person was charged with possession of a controlled substance, the other with possession of marijuana.
    A person on the 500 block of Oak Village Court reported a case of fraud. Police said the loss is $97,000. The case is under investigation.
    A person on the 200 block of West State Street called for medical help at 8:37 p.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A person on the 300 block of East Evergreen Street called for medical help at 11:01 p.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    Tuesday, Sept. 12
    A person came to the police department at 9:20 a.m. and reported an attempted scam by a person claiming to work for Xcel Energy. The scammer told the person she was behind on her bill and had to pay in “money Pak cards,” police said. The person refused to pay and checked with Xcel to make sure the bill is current.
    A Minneapolis man was stopped near the intersection of East Main Street and Old Highway 169 Boulevard at 9:09 p.m. for several violations. The driver was cited for driving after license cancellation.
    Wednesday, Sept. 13
    A boy was stopped near the intersection of East Orchard and South Chestnut streets at 12:53 a.m. and admitted he was out without his parents’ knowledge. The boy was cited for a curfew violation and escorted home.
    At 2:18 p.m., police stopped an Eden Prairie woman, 38, near the intersection of North Walnut and East Main streets after the officer observed her texting while driving. She was cited for the offense and failing to update her license within 30 days of moving.
    Thursday, Sept. 14
    A woman on the 1000 block of Morningside Way reported at 6:12 p.m. a theft from “some time ago,” according to police. She also reported threats made by the suspect. Police are investigating.
    A person on the 1000 block of East Enterprise Drive reported at 8:12 p.m. two women fighting over one male, who was present. One of the women was cited for disorderly conduct.
    Friday, Sept. 15
    A citation was issued at 3:21 a.m. to a vehicle parked on the 100 block of North Meridian Street during street cleaning. It was towed.
    A property-damage crash at the intersection of Cedar and East State streets was reported at 8:55 a.m. A Belle Plaine man, 72, was cited for a stop sign violation.
    The theft of a flagpole from Veterans’ Park was reported at 9:47 a.m.
    A Belle Plaine man, 41, was stopped at 4:11 p.m. near the intersection of East Commerce Drive and South Ash Street for speeding. He was also cited for driving with an expired license.
    Saturday, Sept. 16
    A person on the 400 block of North Willow Street reported at 3:23 a.m. an assault in progress. A Belle Plaine man, 21, was cited for disorderly conduct.
    A Belle Plaine girl, 15, was cited for driving without a license and leaving the scene of a crash at the intersection of Highway 169 and East Main Street after it was reported at 6:03 a.m.
    A person on the 200 block of South Meridian Street reported at 1:39 p.m. the theft of a storage shed. The suspect is known and police are trying to make contact with the person.
    A person on the 1100 block of Schoolhouse Drive called for medical help at 11:10 p.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    Sunday, Sept. 17
    A person on the 200 block of West State Street called for medical help at 1:04 p.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.

    The week of Sept. 4-10, Belle Plaine police responded to the following selected calls:

    Monday, Sept. 4
    A person on the 300 block of West Main Street reported at 12:30 p.m. vandalism to his garbage cans. The markings  were washed off and there was no permanent damage to his receptacles.
    Tuesday, Sept. 5
    A person at a construction site on the 100 block of West Commerce Drive reported at 6:33 a.m. the theft of tools. Police are investigating.
    A vehicle stopped near the intersection of Hickory Boulevard and East Main Street at 8:39 p.m. The registered owner is the subject of an active arrest warrant. The driver, a 31-year-old man from Heidelberg,  was not the vehicle’s owner. He was, however, the subject of three active arrest warrants. He was cited for driving after license revocation and taken into custody.
    A 20-year-old Maplewood woman was stopped near the intersection of Highway 169 and Old Highway 169 Boulevard at 10:05 p.m. She was cited for speeding and driving after license revocation.
    Wednesday, Sept. 6
    A Mankato man, 19, was stopped at 12:29 a.m. near the intersection of East Main Street and Highway 169. He was cited for speeding and driving with a suspended license.
    A Waconia woman, 19, was stopped near the intersection of North Walnut and East Court streets at 3:46 p.m. She was cited for texting while driving.
    Thursday, Sept. 7
    A person on the 400 block of North Meridian Street reported at 1:14 a.m. an unknown person knocking on the door trying to enter the residence. Police determined the person knocking on the door, an 18-year-old woman from Belle Plaine, was inebriated and at the wrong house. She was cited for underage consumption, disorderly conduct and taken to an area hospital because she could not care for herself.
    During a traffic stop near the intersection of West State and North Cherry streets, the officer noticed evidence of marijuana present. The driver, a 23-year-old Belle Plaine man, was cited for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger, a 27-year-old Belle Plaine woman, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. They also forfeited $381 in cash.
    Friday, Sept. 8
    Citations were issued at 3:02 a.m. to two vehicles parked on the 100 block of North Meridian Street during street cleaning. The vehicles were towed.
    A person on the 800 block of West Prairie Street called for medical help at 7:40 a.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A person on the 1000 block of West State Street called for medical help at 11:57 a.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A Minneapolis man was cited at 1:02 p.m. for not moving over into an open lane when passing a police officer on the shoulder near the intersection of South Ash Street and Highway 169.
    A person on the 500 block of East Orchard Street reported at 2:08 p.m. vandalism at the park.
    A Belle Plain man, 47, stopped at 3:41 p.m. near the intersection of East Main and South Walnut streets for a cracked windshield. He was also cited for driving with a cancelled license.
    A backpack was found outside city hall at 4:15 p.m. The owner was identified and the backpack and its contents were returned, minus the e-cigg since the backpack’s owner was a child. The owner was cited for juvenile use of tobacco.
    Saturday, Sept. 9
    A person on the 600 block of Butler Drive called for medical help at 6:40 a.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A New Prague man, 88, was stopped near the intersection of West Commerce Drive and Oak Street at 8:46 p.m. and cited for several line violations. The driver was not over the legal limit, but the officer still had a sober party come take him home.
    A Shakopee man, 40, was stopped at 11:09 p.m. near the intersection of South Meridian Street and Highway 169 for not stopping at a stop sign. He was also cited for driving after license cancellation.
    Sunday, Sept. 10
    A person on the 200 block of West State Street called for medical help at 12:28 a.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.

    The week of Aug. 21-27, Belle Plaine police responded to the following selected calls:

    Monday, Aug. 21
    A person on the 900 block of East Orchard Street reported at 5:55 a.m. theft from an unlocked vehicle over the weekend. Motor oil and some tools were stolen. Police are investigating.
    A person on the 800 block of Green Acre Court reported at 9:57 a.m. a case of fraud. An employee used a business credit card for personal use. Police are investigating.
    An employee of a business on the 1000 block of East Enterprise Drive reported a case of shoplifting. A woman from West St. Paul, 30, reportedly took liquor and food. She was cited for three instances of shoplifting.
    Tuesday, Aug. 22
    A person on the 800 block of East Main Street called for medical help at 8:44 a.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    An employee at a business on the 300 block of South Walnut Street reported at 6:50 p.m. receiving a counterfeit $100 bill. The person who passed the bogus bill reportedly was unaware it was worthless and said it was received from another business. The funny money was turned over to the FBI.
    Wednesday, Aug. 23
    A person on the 200 block of West Church Street called for medical help at 1:42 a.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    A property damage crash on the 800 block of South Chestnut Street was reported at 8:45 a.m. A woman left the roadway and struck two mailboxes. The woman was unsure why she drove off the road. She was cited for careless driving.
    An officer witnessed a vehicle stopped in a lane of traffic at 9:48 p.m. near the intersection of East Main Street and Hickory Boulevard. The driver, a 64-year-old Montgomery man, came back to his car and told the officer he saw a friend and got out to exchange greetings. The man was cited for parking on a highway.
    A person on the 600 block of West Main Street called for medical help at 11:32 p.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    Thursday, Aug. 24
    A man on the 300 block of North Meridian Street reported at 5:27 a.m. his vehicle had been stolen. He called police back saying he found it a few blocks away and suspected a friend was playing a hoax on him. The man was advised not to leave his keys in the car.
    A property-damage crash at the intersection of East Enterprise Drive and South Meridian Street was reported at 11:31 a.m. A Shakopee woman, 57, pulled out from the intersection and was hit. She was cited for failure to yield.
    A person on the 200 block of West Prairie Street called for medical help at 1:45 p.m. A family member transported a woman to an area hospital.
    A Belle Plaine man, 29, was stopped at 3:23 p.m. near the intersection of East Raven and South Meridian Street. He was cited for driving with a suspended license.
    Friday, Aug. 25
    Four children stopped at 1:15 a.m. near the intersection of East Prairie and South Elm streets were cited for curfew violations. Their parents were notified and the children were transported home.
    A citation was issued at 3 a.m. for a vehicle parked on the 100 block of North Meridian Street during street cleaning. It was towed.
    A Waconia woman, 19, was stopped near the intersection of East Forest and North Walnut streets at 3:04 p.m. She was cited for texting while driving with no proof of insurance.
    A Belle Plaine woman, 31, was stopped at 9:11 p.m. near the intersection of East Main and North Walnut streets for running a stop sign. She was cited for driving after license revocation and arrested on an outstanding warrant.
    Saturday, Aug. 26
    A Bloomington woman, 25, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 169 and South Meridian Street at 12:16 a.m. for speeding and driving with a suspended license.
    A vehicle was stopped for speeding near the intersection of Highway 169 and South Meridian Street a6 3:21 a.m. The driver was issued a warning for speeding and the passengers cited for open bottle and underage consumption.
    A person on the 600 block of West Main Street called for medical help at 7:03 p.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    Sunday, Aug. 27
    A person on the 800 block of South Chestnut Street called for medical help at 12:12 a.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.

    Friday, Aug. 18
    At 12:10 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a car fire on the 1100 block of West Commerce Drive.

    The week of Aug. 14-20, Belle Plaine police responded to the following selected calls:

    Monday, Aug. 14
    Police responded at 1:31 a.m. to a report of an inebriant banging on the door of the wrong house trying to gain entrance. The man was transported to a friend’s house.
    A person on the 600 block of West Main Street called for medical help at 1:58 a.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    A woman on the 400 block of South Meridian Street reported at 9:33 p.m. someone egged her car and another person’s car. The woman was uncertain when the incident occurred.
    A vehicle was stopped at 10:44 p.m. near the intersection of South Walnut and East Park streets for an equipment violation. The driver, a Belle Plaine boy, was also cited for driving after license revocation.
    Tuesday, Aug. 15
    A man on the 100 block of North Willow Street reported at 1:06 p.m. someone had tipped over his motorcycle during the night. The damage to the motorcycle was minimal.
    Wednesday, Aug. 16
    A person on the 1000 block of Morningside Way called for medical help at 2:10 a.m. Officers assisted the person and transport was not needed.
    A person on the 800 block of West Prairie Street called for medical help at 9:48 a.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A man was stopped at 1:09 p.m. near the intersection of East Court and North Meridian streets for inoperable brake lights. The driver was also cited for failing to change the address on his license 30 days after moving.
    At 3:13 p.m., an officer was at a traffic stop near the intersection of East Forest and North Walnut streets. A vehicle drove by, accelerating rapidly and  causing a loud noise because the car did not have mufflers. The vehicle was stopped and the driver, an 18-year-old Carver man, was cited for the equipment violation.
    A person stopped at the police station at 3:42 p.m. to report a violation of a court-ordered order for protection. After investigation, a Belle Plaine man, 25, was jailed for the offense.
    Thursday, Aug. 17
    An officer noticed two children near the intersection of South Meridian Street and East Enterprise Drive at 12:05 a.m. They were cited for being out past curfew and their parents were notified.
    A Le Center man was stopped at 12:11 a.m. near the intersection of South Meridian Street and East Enterprise Drive for improper lane use and driving without a license.
    A person on the 200 block of East Main Street called for medical help at 12:39 a.m.  He was transported to an area hospital.
    A person on the 600 block of Butler Drive called for medical help at 2:35 a.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A person near the intersection of South Meridian Street and Highway 169 called for medical help at 3:14 p.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    Friday, Aug. 18
    A woman on the 400 block of South Meridian Street reported at 7:22 a.m. a vehicle was egged.
    At 12:08 p.m., a driver waved down a police officer on the 1100 block of West Commerce Drive concerned his car was on fire. Flames were detected under the car. The fire department was called to squelch the fire.
    A person stopped at the police station at 1:19 p.m. and reported employees from a moving company, which had helped move the person to Belle Plaine, had stolen items. Police are investigating.
    A person riding an all-terrain vehicle on city streets was stopped at 5:39 p.m. near the intersection of South Ash Street and East Commerce Drive. The driver was cited for driving an ATV on city streets and driving with a suspended license.
    A person on the 500 block of Jaymie Court reported at 6:38 p.m. solicitors selling vacuums without a city-issued permit. Having been warned previously of the ordinance requiring a permit, the two men and a woman were all cited.
    Saturday, Aug. 19
    Police were dispatched to Jordan at 1:17 a.m. to provide scene security as JPD officers handled a bar brawl with injuries.
    A person on the 800 block of West Prairie Street called for medical help at 6:35 a.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A person on the 700 block of East Main Street called for medical help at 3:50 p.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    A person on the 1000 block of Morningside Way reported at 7:35 p.m. a possible case of fraud. A man noticed an unknown charge on his bank account. Police are investigating.
    Sunday, Aug. 20
    A person on the 400 block of West Main Street called for help at 1:06 a.m. The officer helped remove a bat from a house.
    A person on the 200 block of East Orchard Street reported a domestic disturbance at 5:19 p.m. After investigation, a Belle Plaine man, 54, was arrested for domestic assault.

    Monday, Aug. 7
    An officer checked on a vehicle parked at a park on the 500 block of East Orchard Street at 9:45 a.m. The driver of the vehicle was the subject of an arrest warrant. He was taken into custody.
    Tuesday, Aug. 8
    A person on the 200 block of East Main Street called for medical help at 1:48 a.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    Police responded at 2:26 p.m. to a report of a strong natural gas smell at an apartment building on the 200 block of West State Street. Firefighters took over the call.
    A person on the 500 block of East Beaver Street reported at 3:13 p.m. the theft of a dog. The suspects were located, the dog returned home and four men were cited for theft.
    A person on the 800 block of West Main Street called for medical help at 3:40 p.m. A woman was found deceased, apparently of natural causes.
    A person on the 800 block of Prairie Oak Drive reported at 5:19 p.m. someone was threatened. Police investigated. A woman, once located, will be cited for terroristic threats.
    A person on the 800 block of South Walnut Street called for medical help at 8:27 p.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A person on the 300 block of North Cedar Street reported at 10:26 p.m. a disturbance involving an unwanted guest. A man and woman were cited for underage consumption.
    Thursday, Aug. 10
    A person on the 600 block of Butler Drive called for medical help at 1:34 p.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A vehicle was stopped at 3:08 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 25 and County Road 40. The driver was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant. He was taken into custody.
    Friday, Aug. 11
    Police checked a vehicle on the side of the road near the intersection of Highway 169 and South Meridian Street at 1:40 a.m. The driver, a 22-year-old Mankato man, was cited for driving with a suspended license.
    A citation was issued at 2:50 a.m. to a vehicle parked on the 100 block of North Meridian Street during street cleaning. The vehicle was towed.
    A person on the 300 block of East Enterprise Drive called for medical help at 3:22 a.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    At 2:13 p.m., a person on the block of West State Street called for medical help. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A property-damage crash at the intersection atop the ramp from Highway 169 and East Main Street was reported at 5:52 p.m. A Belle Plaine girl, 16, was cited for failure to yield.
    A person on the 200 block of Meridian Street North called for medical help at 8:26 p.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    Saturday, Aug. 12
    A person on the 600 block of West Main Street called for medical help at 11:46 a.m. A man was transported to an area hospital.
    A person on the 100 block of North Aspen Lane reported the theft of cash from an unlocked, idling vehicle. Police are investigating.
    A woman on the 300 block of South Walnut Street reported at 7:38 p.m. she’d been assaulted. Police are investigating.
    A person on the 700 block of West Forest Street called for medical help at 11:48 p.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    Sunday, Aug. 13
    A person on the 600 block of Butler Drive called for medical help at 12:23 a.m. A woman was transported to an area hospital.
    A vehicle was stopped at 1:15 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 169 and South Meridian Street for speeding. An Edina man, 20, was also cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana.
    A person on the 600 block of West Church Street called for medical help at 1:37 p.m A woman was transported to an area hospital.

    The week of Aug. 7-13,  Belle Plaine firefighters responded to the following calls for service:

    Tuesday, Aug. 8
    Firefighters were dispatched at 2:40 p.m. to the the 200 block of West State Street for a gas leak. Investigation did not identify a gas leak.
    At 3:40 p.m., firefighters responded to a call for medical help on the 800 block of West Main Street. There  was no transport.
    Thursday, Aug. 10
    Firefighters were dispatched at 10 a.m. to the 800 block of Commerce Drive for a fire alarm. They were canceled en route.
    At 2 p.m., firefighters responded to a single-car rollover crash near the intersection of  Meridian Circle and Pony Road  in Belle Plaine Township. The victim suffered minor injuries.
    Firefighters responded at 5 p.m. to a call from a person on South Market Street. The alarm was caused by a  faulty light fixture.
    At 5:10 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 16000 block of Elm Way in Blakeley Township for a medical. There was  no patient transported.
    Friday, Aug. 11
    Firefighters were dispatched at 6:20 p.m. to wash down the scene of a two-vehicle property-damage crash at the intersection of Main and Johnson Memorial Drive.
